Principal Arrested After Beating 7 Year Old Student
Someone who is a principal has to know how to handle kids, especially in a difficult situation.
This Brooklyn administrator couldn't control his anger after a 7 year old student of his slapped a member of his staff. According to reports, the principal punched and kicked the helpless child, leaving bruises all over his body.
Machael Spencer-Edwards, 42, was monitoring the halls of Public School 202 in East New York when he spotted the boy running around the lunchroom in a banned hoodie and hitting staffers on March 13, sources said.The 6-foot-3, 175-pound principal dragged the child out of class and forced him to the ground. With the boy cowering in front of him, Spencer-Edwards punched and kicked him, prosecutors said.The second-grader, identified as Hasheem Welch, returned home that day with a swollen face and bruises on his stomach and back, his mother said.“I feel like (Spencer-Edwards) needs to be put away,” the boy’s mother Shema McKenzie told the Daily News.“I sent my son to school to learn. I didn’t send my son to get beat up by an adult, especially by the principal who’s supposed to be caring for these children.”Cops arrested Spencer — Edwards on Tuesday following a month-long investigation. -(NY Daily News)
