Hip Hop Finally Has a Union

  • After being around for nearly 50 years, hip-hop finally has a union thanks to Kurtis Blow and Chuck D.
  • The two legends and their Hip Hop Alliance organization met with SAG-AFTRA execs and from that meeting have enabled artists to receive benefits and more.
  • "Theaters are shutting down across the country, concert halls, clubs. It's difficult to make a living, first and foremost," said Kurtis Blow. "We're coming together to stand up and say, Let's change the game and create fairness for the artists who are giving their all to the community."
