Jeff Bezos Gifts Van Jones $100 Million

Jeff Bezos is reeling from his recent flight out of space. On Tuesday, the Amazon founder took a successful trip to the edge of space. He must have been feeling fancy and free when he returned because he then decided to make some huge donations. The wealthiest man in the world said he plans to donate $100M each to CNN contributor Van Jones and celebrity chef José Andrés, according to Yahoo! And get this, Jeff said they can do whatever they want with the money. He said they can use it for charity, share the money or whatever. By the way, his donation is a part of his philanthropic initiative called the Courage and Civility Award, for their projects that help humanity. So what happens when you get a big donation like that? Everyone has plans. According to TMZ, civil rights attorney Ben Crump wants to talk to his friend, Van about using that money for good, which is to help Black people learn the law. Ben told TMZ he plans to talk to Van about using some money to help partially fund The Ben Crump Social Justice Law Center, nestled in St. Thomas University College of Law in Miami Gardens, which is a one-stop-shop law facility in Florida. We are curious to see how that conversation will go. Something tells me plenty of that money will go towards the Reform Alliance.
