Kim Hill Blasts Will.I.Am About Black Eyed Peas Comment

You all remember the Black Eyed Peas group, right? You know the group that had Will.i.am and Fergie and those two other guys? Well apparently Will.i.am was in his feelings while doing an interview with Wyclef Jean, saying he felt hurt that his group wasn't considered a black group. I don't know anyone who did think that group was a black group. During that podcast, Will.i.am said, "In 2004, Black Eyed Peas we, we were just trying to get on. When you think of…like, I’m a Black dude but when you think of Black Eyed Peas, we go so big that…and it hurts, it still hurts a little bit that we’re not considered a Black group because we got that big." I doubt that was the real reason. However, a former singer from the group, Kim Hill, who is black, is clapping back at the music producer. Kim was the original singer for the group, which was known as an eclectic Hip Hop band before leaving in 2000. A few years later, Fergie became the singer of the group. Kim said, "For you to make that statement as if the onus is on the Black community to celebrate you and the band when you didn’t celebrate us. It’s almost like there’s this cultural smudging."
