Trina Apologizes for Calling People Animals During Protests

The diamond princess may have put her foot in her mouth. While speaking on the radio down in Miami, rapper, Trina, made some comments that didn't sit well with people. She was talking about the curfew and protestors but referred to them as animals. Trina basically said she didn't mind the curfew because it would get the animals off the street and keep the streets and city clean. Now, I will say, Trina may have forgotten to say a few words, like, maybe she was calling the looters and rioters animals, not quite the protestors. Her words were taken out of context, and Trina said she wasn't referring to black people as animals. She apologized for her comments coming off like that. Trina said, "I can see why people were offended by my comments and wasn’t trying to discredit anyone’s actions with police so I am truly sorry for that part; but when I was calling people animals, I was talking about looters, not people who were protesting peacefully. I am Black. Why would I call Black people animals when I’m Black? That would mean I am calling myself an animal." Of course, people started canceling Trina, but I had a feeling it was a simple mistake when she referred to people as animals.
