Last week there were two players who basically were accused of armed robbery and now you have Washington Redskins wide receiver Cody Latimer who get arrested on assault and gun charges. According to ESPN over the weekend, the football player was taken to jail after cops say he was involved in assaulting someone and illegally using a firearm. Cody was booked on several charges that included assault in the second degree, illegal discharge of a firearm, prohibited use of a weapon, reckless endangerment and menacing. Cody was at the home of Roderick English, who told cops he and Cody were best friends. They were playing poker when Cody and another player got into a heated argument. It's always over a card game, right? But when you add drinking into the mix, things got ugly. English said he separated the two in the argument and ordered everyone to leave his apartment. But Cody came back because he blamed English for the confrontation. Cody was arrested but was released on a $25,000 bond.
