Olympics Decides to Postpone Tokyo 2020 Games to 2021

Just Monday, we mentioned that a lot of events were canceled or postponed. However, the Olympics 2020 seemed as if it would still continue with this year's events taking place in Tokyo, Japan. But there were a few countries who decided to pull out of the Olympics, which would have started in late July. Canada was the first country to step back from the events due to the coronavirus scare, while Australia did the same and asked their athletes to start training for 2021 Olympics. Then New Zealand threatened to boycott if the Olympics didn't postpone the games. So now what? Well that all of that the 2020 Tokyo Olympics will not kick off in July. According to TMZ, the International's Olympic Committee member Dick Pounds says they have officially decided to postpone the games in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. So they finally understand. It was said the games would take place no later than summer 2021.
