Playboy Will End Magazine Publication

Hugh Heffner would be devastated. The magazine he founded back in 1953, Playboy Magazine, is coming to an end. After this spring, there will be no more of the well-known publication. This COVID0-19 has put a lot of businesses on pause and it is effecting other businesses. But although Playboy will end its publication, you know they will still be around, just online. According to Vulture, Playboy's CEO did an open letter that in part, read, the Spring 2020 issue which arrives on U.S. newsstands and as a digital download this week, will be our final printed publication for the year in the U.S. We will move to a digital-first publishing schedule for all of our content including the Playboy Interview, 20Q, the Playboy Advisor and of course our Playmate pictorials. But for 2021, they will have new consumer product launches and innovative printed offerings in a variety of new forms. That sounds like more of special editions. So if you're a big fan of Playboy, all good because it will still be around.
