Why did Da Brat wait 20 years to come out?
She said that coming up in the 90's as one of the few female MC's, exploring that part of her sexuality was considered taboo.
That has changed for her once she got with the love of her life, Jesseca Dupart.
Jesseca is the CEO of Kaleidoscope Hair Products.
On coming out Da Brat said, my partner is a social media mogul and when you get with somebody you have to meet in the middle. I was like 'oh sh-- I just came out after 20 something years.'
Da Brat said had she known everyone was going to be so supportive she would have done it years ago.
