The gang-affiliated Bushwick, Brooklyn rapper took to Instagram to break it down. He posted a picture of himself hugging an older woman during his recent trip to the Dominican Republic for a video shoot. The caption said, "I never lost sense of where I came from. That’s what makes me 69. The true meaning of 69 is just because you’re right doesn’t mean I’m wrong -- YOU JUST HAVEN'T SEEN LIFE FROM MY PERSPECTIVE. Speaking of changes in perspective, Tekashi also recently said, "I always thought I knew the meaning of being poor, 'til I got to DR and it showed me and gave me a realization of what being poor really was." He shared that sentiment alongside footage of him giving $100 bills to some kids there.
