SMH: Man Shot Dead While On Facebook Live
This just keeps happening.
A man who was recording himself on Facebook Live was gunned down on a college campus.
The victim — identified by authorities and relatives as Prentis Robinson — was broadcasting with the use of a selfie stick when a man attacked him, firing four shots.
Minutes before the shooting, Robinson was at the police station reporting that his cell phone had been stolen.In his final moments, he talked about wanting to move to Atlanta before addressing his killer.
"You on Live," Robinson told the man a number of times.
The broadcast and public location didn't deter the gunman.
“It’s very concerning that just a block away from the police department, that something like this would happen,” Wingate Police Chief Donnie Gay told reporters.
Robinson had just celebrated his 55th birthday. People who hoped to leave birthday wishes on his Facebook page were instead confronted with video of his final moments.
“We don’t understand why somebody would want to do this, but that’s what they did,” Rorio said. -(Dan Good, NY Daily News)
