R. Kelly Finally Pays Back Child Support, Avoiding Jail Time

It looks like R. Kelly had a better day in court and I guess he can call things a win. Well, it depends on how you look at things. The singer was in court on Wednesday to finally pay up his back child support to the tune of over $62k, according to TMZ. So how is that a win for R. Kelly? Well, he avoided jail time. He basically took care of a few months of child support payments to his ex-wife, Andrea Kelly, which were supposed to be $20k a month. He paid for March, April and May. As far as the next few months, will R. Kelly cough that up in time? His Crisis Manager, Darrell Johnson, tells TMZ that after paying the principal balance of the child support, the singer also put June, July, and August payments in an escrow account.
