Lil Durk Donates Hand Sanitizer to Prisons

  • After reports surfaced that prisons in Illinois were dealing with water contamination, rapper Lil Durk donated 29,000 bottles of hand sanitizer to Illinois prisons. 
  • The bottle distribution is being handled by Durk's Neighborhood Heroes Foundation along with the Illinois Department of Corrections and Chicago Votes. 
  • In March traces of Legionella bacteria were found in the water supply of two state prisons in the state. 
  • Legionella is the bacteria that can cause a person to contract Legionnaire's Disease.
