Some people can't really celebrate without upsetting others. Rapper 21 Savage recently celebrated his birthday over the weekend and decided to have a Freaknik-themed party. Many people may be familiar with the Freaknik, which actually was canceled for some years over how hard the partying got. However, the festival has been revived. But apparently, they weren't cool with 21 doing a party with their name and no credit. According to The Jasmine Brand, organizers took issue with 21 Savage's event and asked the rapper to either acknowledge the original Freaknik Festival or change the name of his party. Clearly, 21 didn't do that. The organizers tweeted, "Saw@21savageand@megameezy#Freaknik21last night at @underground_atlanta and looked like a super dope event. Sucks we gonna have to sue them when all we asked that they acknowledged us since it was a free event and they declined." The organizers were upset because they said, "Spending over a million to revive a brand, fighting negative public perception and proving we can do it 2 years with no issues, comes at a cost" and they didn't want anyone to infringe on it. I get it. So 21 Savage responded, simply saying, "Y'all better sit down somewhere." Meanwhile, Freaknik folks said they just wanted to be acknowledged.
