Jussie Smollet's Trial is Set for November

Actor Jussie Smollet has been quiet for a while now. After things about his attempted robbery came out as being an alleged hoax, it seems like Hollywood definitely blackballed the actor. Back in 2019, Jussie was accused of lying to police when he reported he was a victim of a racist, homophobic attack in downtown Chicago. Cops were trying to find the assailants and then when they allegedly did, come to find out, investigators discovered Jussie allegedly paid two brothers to stage a hate crime against him because he was unhappy with his salary. But of course, Jussie has been denying that story for over a year now. But he will face trial over his alleged hate crime hoax in late November, according to Page Six. Jussie wanted to get the case dismissed, but clearly, that isn't happening. And the city of Chicago isn't a fan of Jussie's after the stunt because the city even hit him with a lawsuit over the man-hours they spent looking for the men who allegedly assaulted Jussie. We will see how this plays out.
