Naomi Osaka is out here doing the damn thing. She is letting it be known that it is okay to sit down and let people know you don't want to do things and it's okay. Of course people were shocked that she sat out a few tennis events to deal with her own depression and mental health. We applauded her. We still applaud Naomi and now we do because she is looking out for people. Naomi announced to people, via Instagram stories, that she has just launched a skincare line for people of color. The name is called Kinlo. The name, which pays homage to Naomi's bicultural heritage as both Kin and Lo mean "gold" in Japanese Haitian Creole respectively. She said, "As a POC I started learning about skin cancer rates affecting people like me wondered why there wasn't a great product that feels good and protects our skin." She continued, "So I founded @kinloskin which is a functional skin care line for people with melanated skin." Yes, she isn't just tennis! And according to People, the Kinlo line includes an Active Golden Rays Sunscreen, Hydrating Eye Cream, Hydrating Golden Mist and a Hydrating Lip Balm, made with "clean formulations" that aim to "protect and rejuvenate melanated skin tones."
