If you have been busy living your normal life without a mask, you will have to pull them back out. There has been a surge in the COVID-19 cases, especially in Florida and Texas. But even in the tristate, the numbers are going up. Philly's number are going back up. The numbers are almost back to where they were last year. There are still many people who have not been vaccinated and of course the CDC has changed their guidelines in regards to masks. They recommend people wear them, regardless of your vaccination status. Schools have also decided to have students and staff wear masks in certain areas as well. But now, there are companies who are putting their mask mandates back in place. According to NBC 10, certain companies like Home Depot, Walmart and Target are telling their employers to wear masks indoors and recommending all customers, vaccinated or not, to do the same. New Jersey has issued a mandate as well saying all workers in state hospitals, correction facilities and assisted living centers have to get the vaccine and be vaccinated by Sept. 7 or if they decided not to get vaccinated, they have to get tested weekly.
