LeBron James Becomes the First Billion Dollar Active Athlete

LeBron James is out here getting it. Of course many people know his skills on the basketball court, but the baller also has plenty other ventures. He is definitely a business man. He recently released his movie, Space Jame: A New Legacy that did pretty good in the box office. But now, he is reportedly been labeled a billionaire, making him the first active athlete to become one. According to Sportico, sports valuation reporter Kurt Badenhausen attributes becoming a billionaire to LeBron's career earnings, including salaries and endorsements. LeBron has hit $1 billion USD, with $330 million USD in playing salary and $700 million USD off the court. When you think about it, LeBron has endorsements with AT&T, Beats, Blaze Pizza, Nike, Walmart and more. You may say, "Wait, Michael Jordan is a billionaire." But Badenhausen says Nike helped do that when the baller was not an active player. And LeBron won't be the last because there are a few other ballers who seem to be next like Kevin Durant and Steph Curry.
