Sha'Carri Richardson Will Not Go to Tokyo Olympics After Failing Drug Test

A lot of fans are hurt over the decision that is keeping U.S. sprinter Sha'Carri Richardson at home instead of heading to the Olympics. According to TMZ, U.S. Track & Field officials have decided to leave her off of the U.S. relay team. Of course we all know about her 30-day suspension after failing a drug test and testing positive for marijuana. However, Sha'Carri's suspension will end before the relay race was scheduled to even begin. She would miss the 100-meter race but she could've still been included on the 4x100-meter relay until officials made the announcement on Tuesday. Sha'Carri has a lot of supporters on her side because her mom recently died and the weed was a way for her to cope with the stress and pressure. While we can understand her pain and needing a coping method, the USATF officials said all athletes have to adhere to the anti-doping code. We wish her the best.
