The Essence Festival is returning this summer, albeit in a mostly virtual format. The initial lineup includes Jazmine Sullivan, DJ D-Nice, Tank, Kirk Franklin, Michele Williams, and DJ Khaled and Friends. There will also be special guests including Mary J. Blige ,Angela Yee, Miss Lawrence and Supacent. The fest will be live-streamed over two weekends -- June 25th to the 27th and July 2nd through the 4th. The hybrid festival experience will include some in-person events for first responders and essential workers in the New Orleans area.
