The world is so cruel and you cannot say there isn't racism in the world, as many congressional members have said. However, not only have protests gone down for justice for black people, but Asian people are being attacked as well. It's not cool at all. People have been attacking elderly people, who can't defend themselves and it's just disgusting. Well, Saweetie is letting people know it's not cool as well. Many people probably don't know that Saweetie is also Asian and Black. Saweetie joined TMZ Live to discuss Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month as well as the rash of hate crimes that's been going on. Watching what's going on hits close to home for the rapper. Saweetie said that could have been her own grandmother. Saweetie believes the age of social media is opening people's eyes to how rampant this problem is and she's doing her part to raise awareness too. She said she and Jhene Aiko will be performing on Friday for the AAPI Heritage Month special, "See Us Unite for Change" hosted by actor Ken Jeong.
