2020 has seen shootings and in some cases death to quite a few rappers. Fabolous took to his Instagram after Zoey Dollaz was shot and wrote, Respectfully, being a rapper has become the most dangerous job in America. In a follow up he continued, Black men are surviving the trenches, constant battles in a war zone environment, make something of themselves as artists, become famous, change their lifestyle and somehow still end up dead or in jail. Based on what Fab is saying, are rappers changing their lifestyle or is that the problem? Are they staying in the same neighborhoods and hanging around the same people after they get on?
