Lil Wayne Hit With Lawsuit By Ex-Manager

A lot of celebrities get themselves in some shifty deals from time to time. It looks like Lil Wayne found himself in one. According to TMZ, Weezy's ex-manager is trying to sue the rapper for about $20 million in commissions. Ronald Sweeney claims he was hired back in 2005 to renegotiate Wayne's deal with Cash Money over how much money Young Money should be paid. That was settled in 2018 but Sweeney said he didn't get all of his money. He was paid a few payments from the settlement. Not only is Sweeney trying to get his money from that settlement, but he said Wayne hired Sweeney to replace Cortez Bryant, Wayne's manager and friend, and got Wayne to bump his commission from 10% to 17%. But that was also the same year, 2018, Wayne fired Sweeney. He is trying to collect what he feel he was due.
