Travis Scott Gets Hit With a Lawsuit Over Gaming Controller Design

People are getting sued over things you probably wouldn't even think about. Travis Scott is now being sued for stealing the design of a joystick and gaming controller. According to Page Six, a top gaming company, KontrolFreek, is suing Travis saying that he jacked their idea and design on its joysticks that you basically operate with your thumbs. Not only Travis but his Cactus Jack label are being sued. They claim when Travis performed a series of virtual concerts for 12 million fans via the video game Fortnight in April, that he and his team were looking for an opportunity to offer Cactus Jack-branded gaming merchandise as part of a tie-in." Well they claim Cactus Jack reproduced the company's copyright-protected photos of their product and modified them with Cactus Jack logos on top of the KontrolFreek thumbstick to sell. The company basically got a bad reputation when people complained Cactus Jack was bad quality, because it led people to believe they were also a part of KontrolFreek's products. Even Travis' packaged was in copyright violation because including the other company's slogan plus "identical bullet points" touting the thumbsticks’ merits, says Page Six. KontrolFreek wants money for damages and they want Cactus Jack products to be destroyed.
