That's normal, if you owe Uncle Sam, he takes it all. However, her balance was only $.06 cents! The daughter of the woman, Suhay, who lives in Virginia took to social media once she found out the amount owed on the home.
Apparently, Suhay's mother suffers from Alzheimer's and could not remember to pay the debt.
Luckily, Suhay contacted Ocean Township Mayor Christopher Siciliano, who apologized for the situation according to Foxnews.com. The family was upset that her mother's house was being sold for nearly pennies. Since then, the mayor has contacted the family and plans to discuss with other counties what is the appropriate amount to begin the process of selling someone's home.
