Beyonce Wins Blu Ivy Trademark Battle!

Not to long ago, rumors surfaced of a court order from Beyonce for anyone person(s) using the Blu Ivy name for personal gain. According to Balleralert.com, "[A] Massachusetts wedding planner Veronica Morales to stop Beyoncé from securing trademarking rights to her daughter Blue Ivy Carter name, The Trademark Trial and Appeal Board sided with the 38-year-old singer. A week ago, Beyoncé acquired intellectual property rights to her eldest child’s name, preventing others from profiting from it."

Jay-Z & Beyonce Carter do not have the intent of using their eldest child’s name for business, but only to prevent others from doing so. According to Law and Crime, such acts are not allowed under the trademark law. Being that the name "Blu Ivy" is attached to one of the most famous children, the Carter's do not want anyone to benefit off their celebrity. Congratulation's to Beyonce.
