NASCAR Bans Confederate Flags At Races and One Driver Makes A Statement

People are finally starting to hear and understand our cries. It's so sad it took the death of George Floyd for everyone to understand the struggles of black people. But enough is enough. With all of the peaceful protesting, a lot of companies are now showing compassion for their neighbors and taking steps. NASCAR is known for fast cars and Confederate flags. Well, that part will be no more. According to TMZ, NASCAR has banned the Confederate flag from all events, starting right now. NASCAR released a statement saying, "The presence of the confederate flag at NASCAR events runs contrary to our commitment to providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for all fans, our competitors and our industry." On top of that, one driver, Bubba Wallace, who is black, wanted to make a statement, and it was a peaceful one. On the side of his race car, which is black, reads, "Black Lives Matter." On the hood of the car are two different color hands embracing and it reads "Compasion, Love, Understanding." Bubba is one of the top racers as well and his statement is heard.
