I am pretty sure Colin Kaepernick is giving the NFL commissioner a full side-eye right about now. Roger Goodell decided to release a video where he is saying the NFL will not tolerate racism and systematic oppression for black people. Now, you remember back a few years ago, when Colin took the knee to represent social injustices during the National Anthem at football games, everyone got into an uproar. Some players would do the same then some teams' coaches and owners condemned the players for doing so and wanted to reprimand players if they kneeled on the field during the National Anthem. So what made Goodell's eyes open to what black players have been saying for years? There was a video that a lot of black football players put together asking for justice, asking what would it take if something like George Floyd's death happened to them? Maybe that was it. But Goodell should have had his eyes open years ago. Now many are wondering, will he reach out to Colin, will he apologize, will he offer Colin a job with the league again?
