Say his name, Ahmaud Arbery, an unarmed, black man jogging in his neighborhood. This story had finally got the attention it needed about his murder when a video of his death was released. Two men involved with the shooting death of Ahmaud, Gregory and Travis McMichael were not arrested back in February. However, Ahmaud's family demanded justice and the men be arrested after video showed the men looking like they were chasing Ahmaud before shooting him. The family's attorney, Lee Merritt demanded they be arrested and not wait until the grand jury jumped in. The Georgia Bureau of Investigations finally arrested the McMichaels, months after Ahmaud's death. According to TMZ, the men have been arrested on murder and aggravated assault. The GBI officially took over the case Thursday from local cops in Brunswick, GA. Now that arrests have been made, let's make sure that Ahmaud's family gets justice and see that a conviction happens.
