While we keep hearing how the President wants to reopen businesses and the economy, he is leaving that decision in the hands of the state governors. Some of them don't feel their states are ready with the coronavirus pandemic. However, the President is giving governors a 3-phase plan to reopen the economy, according to NBC 10. On Wednesday, the GOP-controlled Legislature sent Wolf a bill that would force him to allow some businesses to reopen during the pandemic, but Wolf announced Wednesday evening that he plans to veto the bill. So what's up with the phase? The new guidelines are aimed at easing restrictions in areas with low transmission of the COVID-19, while holding the line in harder-hit locations. For phase one, recommends strict social distancing for all people in public. In phase two, people are encouraged to maximize social distancing and limit gatherings to no more than 50 people unless precautionary measures are taken. Travel could resume. And phase three envisions a return to normalcy for most Americans, with a focus on identification and isolation of any new infections. See more of the phases HERE.
