Septa Issues Social Distancing Guidelines

With the COVID-19 pandemic, cities across the nation and trying increase the awareness of social distancing. Of course essential workers are the only ones who should be out of their homes, but what about transportation for some of them? Or what about people who need public transportation to go to grocery stores or get food or medication? Well Septa has rolled out new guidelines for the bus transportation. Instead of boarding the buses front the front, riders will now board and exit the buses and trolleys through the back door. This will help keep workers and riders safe during the pandemic. The front doors will only be used for people with disabilities. Septa is also suspending on-board fare payment. There is a limit of people on the buses, being 20 and 25 on trolleys to help with social distancing. Check out Septa.org for more details. And of course, we definitely say thank you to the Septa workers for being out here in these crazy times.
