Bag Secured: Philadelphia Pays Wrongfully Convicted Man $4.15M

The sad thing about this is that most people who are proven wrongfully convicted usually never receive compensation for their time behind bars. The city of Philadelphia is set to pay a man wrongfully convicted for 24 years over $4 million. Shaurn Thomas was convicted of murder but was in custody for a different crime at the time the murder was committed. The fact that it took over 20 years for the police to figure that out is unacceptable.
