Meek Mill Discusses Performing in His City

Power 99's Roxy Romeo, Cappuchino, and T-Roy caught up with Meek Mill after he closed down the Powerhouse 2018 stage.

Meek feels good being back in his city. He showed his love for Philly saying, "I feel good. It always feel good to be back in Philly. I think this is my first time really having a whole set in Philly since I been out and these are the people that represented me like even through my worst times. So it's always important that I give my energy back to the city." Meek says he can't explain the feeling of being on the Powerhouse stage and having the support of his city is amazing. They touch on special stage guests and his new upcoming album before discussing Meek's movie debut.

Meek Mill was cast in Jada Pinkett Smith's movie 12 O'Clock Boys. Meek discusses his role explaining, "Uh, we just started shooting like two, three days ago but it's gonna be a dope movie. It's about bike life, what I went to jail for, and a life I actually live so it won't really be a hard role to play. You know I love riding bikes so, you know, I enjoy doing the movie like that." This will be Meek Mill's first major movie and his music will be featured in the soundtrack.
