Ashanti was expected to perform at Stony Brook University's Back To Brook event but according to Bossip, that show was cancelled after they sold just 24 tickets to the concert. A statement from the school read, “As an organization, we do our best to host programs for students while providing diversity and inclusion. However, we have struggled to execute certain aspects. With a week before the concert, only 24 tickets are sold to students. Teyana Taylor was originally slated to headline the event, but she reportedly pulled out two weeks prior, which gave very little time for the university to promote the event with Ashanti as the headliner.
