According to The Blast, Da Brat has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy after falling $7 million in debt. The bulk of Da Brat’s debt stems from the $6.4 million she owes to former NFL cheerleader Shayla Stevens. Back in 2014 former Atlanta Hawks cheerleader Shayla Stevens was awarded a $6.4 million judgment against rapper Da Brat after Brat hit her in the face with a bottle at Jermaine Dupri's Halloween party in 2007 .Other debts include $1,255,128 owed to Sony Music, $12,000 to Ally Bank, $2,284 in credit card debt, and $2,284 owed to the Georgia Department of Revenue. The filing lists Brat's monthly income at $9,319 but also $10,505 in expenses.
