Jordan Peele’s horror film Get Out has grossed more than $100 million at the box office. It cost just $4.5 million to make. Additionally, as Deadline pointed out, while most genre films see significant drops in subsequent weeks, Get Out continues to perform well at the domestic box office. Get Out becomes the second film fronted by a black actor to cross the $100 million mark this year. Get Out tells the story of Chris Washington (Daniel Kaluuya) an African American young man who goes to meet his white girlfriend’s (Allison Williams) family (Bradley Whitford, Catherine Keener) for the first time. But they’re not normal people, and Chris needs to Get Out of their house.
