If you've ever watched HBO's The Shop, you may see plenty of celebrities stop by to discuss all types of topics. Lebon James and Maverick Carter are the executive producers the show which seemed to be an outlet for celebrities to discuss things comfortably, as you would normally do at the barber shop. Kanye West hopped in one of the taped episodes, however, we won't get a chance to see it. Maverick decided to pull that episode because of Ye's recent antics spitting nothing but hate. Maverick isn't letting Ye' use that platform for that. In a statement to The Hollywood Reporter, Maverick said, "Yesterday we taped an episode of The Shop with Kanye West. Kanye was booked weeks ago and, after talking to Kanye directly the day before we taped, I believed he was capable of a respectful discussion and he was ready to address all his recent comments. Unfortunately, he used The Shop to reiterate more hate speech and extremely dangerous stereotypes.” Maverick continued to say they decided not to air that episode with Ye's remarks. He said while The Shop is open to having difference of opinions and thoughts on the show, "we have zero tolerance for hate speech of any kind and will never allow our channels to be used to promote hate. I take full responsibility for believing Kanye wanted a different conversation and apologize to our guests and crew. Hate speech should never have an audience.” Hey, at least someone put a stop to it.
