Zoe Kravitz Gets Cast as Catwoman in New Batman Movie

I love seeing my people get into these movie deals. Zoe Kravitz has been tapped to star as the new Catwoman in the upcoming Batman movie. According to TMZ, the news broke after Zoe tested some scenes last week with the new Batman star, Robert Pattinson. At one point though, Zoe was allegedly too "urban" for film director Christopher Nolan's take. But Zoe told Nolan back in 2015 that she couldn't even get an audition for Batman because of her race. She said she was blocked from reading for a small role in the movie, allegedly being told they weren't going for "urban" for that movie. Crazy thing is, Catwoman was black on the classic with Earth Kitt. Then Halle Berry had her shot, which, wasn't all that great. So that's what Nolan thought of Zoe? Well Zoe is it now, but we won't see that movie until 2021.
