A Reboot of Boondocks Will Return with Creator, Aaron McGruder

Do you remember when the Boondocks was the business? The show aired at nights on Cartoon Network as a part of the Adult Swim features. Regina King voices the very smart and political character of Huey and his street smart, or lack there of brother, Riley. The creator was Aaron McGruder who would add elements of today's society into the animated series, of course, with some comedy as well. At one point, he left the show to focus on another project, then The Boondocks faded away. There is now some good news after speculation of the topical series returning. According to Complex, Sony announced there will be a reboot of the animated series. And on top of that, Aaron McGruder will return for the show he created. There will be some reimagining to the characters, but let's hope we see our faves like Huey, Riley and Grandad and definitely Uncle Ruckus! And let's hope Regina will be back to voice her young characters! By the way, Huey will get a new look for the reboot. Check out the new look courtesy of the Boondocks Instagram.
