Issa Rae Gets New Gig as American Princess

Issa Rae is definitely spreading her wings. Don't go thinking that "Insecure" is her only thing. If you had a chance to check out the recent movie "The Hate U Give," you will see Issa playing an activist who is trying to help lead a neighborhood on the Black Lives Matter movement. Yes, Issa can play serious, too. Well Issa will also be putting her skills in a new romantic comedy movie. According to Variety, Issa will star in "American Princess." And how about this breakdown of the movie; Issa will play an American woman who moves to London, finds herself drawn into a world of wealth and high society, and falls in love in a very unexpected way, as described by Variety. Also, Issa should feel comfortable with this because the script is written by someone she has worked with on her own "Insecure" show. The script was written by Amy Aniobi. We can't wait to see Issa in this role.
