Cassie Ventura is reportedly involved with the Department of Homeland Security's investigation into the sex trafficking allegations she and others made against Sean "Diddy" Combs in multiple lawsuits.
According to a report TMZ published on Wednesday, April 3, the artist and model is communicating with federal agents as the probe into Diddy's alleged criminal sexcapades moves forward. Sources say Cassie is one of several witnesses who has been working with the feds for the past few weeks. Her involvement in the case may have provided the authorities with enough probable cause to get the green light from a judge for the bicoastal raids on his two homes.
It's not clear what Cassie may have provided to the feds, but it most likely stems from the lawsuit she filed back in November. Diddy's former longtime girlfriend claimed the music mogul raped her, beat her and forced her to have sex with various male prostitutes. She also accused Diddy of making his team, who she also names in the suit along with Combs' companies, hide his offenses. Diddy settled with Cassie for an undisclosed amount the day after she filed her lawsuit. When the raids happened last month, Cassie's legal team issued a statement.
“We will always support law enforcement when it seeks to prosecute those that have violate the law," her attorney Douglas Wigdor said. “Hopefully, this is the beginning of a process that will hold Mr. Combs responsible for his depraved conduct.”
Cassie's not the only witness in the case. There are other unidentified women who have been in contact with investigators as well. As of this report, it's not clear whether his recent accuser Rodney "Lil Rod" Jones is a witness in the case. Diddy's legal team has denied all wrongdoing.
