- An artist by the name of Kidd Wes is suing Donald Glover aka Childish Gambino.
- He claims Gambino's This is America is a rip off of Wes' song, Made In America.
- Wes claims his song was on the internet 2 years before Gambino's version. He says the tracks are similar and the song titles are similar.
- Wes claims his song is registered with the US Copyright Office dating back to May 2017.
- Gambino's version was released in 2018 and went on to win the Grammy for Record of the Year.
- Wes is suing EVERYBODY- Gambino, the co-writers of the song, record label, Roc Nation and Young Thug who sang background vocals.
