JOE BIDEN: Meets With George Floyd's Family

Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden met privately on Monday for more than an hour with the family of George Floyd, the man whose death at the hands of police in Minneapolis spurred nationwide protests.

Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden met privately on Monday for more than an hour with the family of George Floyd, the man whose death at the hands of police in Minneapolis spurred nationwide protests.

According to civil rights leader Al Sharpton, Biden met with George's uncle,Roger Floyd; the family's attorney,Benjamin Crump; Congressman Cedric Richmond and others. Biden sat with the family for more than an hour.

Crump later tweeted, "Listening to one another is what will begin to heal America. He listened, heard their pain, and shared in their woe. That compassion meant the world to this grieving family." (USA Today)
