Rihanna’s Lingerie Line Sued For Defrauding Customers

Rihanna is settling a lawsuit brought by California cities who claimed the singer’s lingerie company, Savage x Fenty, defrauded customers by automatically enrolling them into a VIP program that included recurring credit card charges.
The complaint stated that Savage x Fenty, “were likely to deceive members of the public and were performed with that intent.”
Savage X Fenty didn't acquire customers' authorization, adequately describe its auto-renewal policy, or provide a simple mechanism to stop the charges.
Savage X Fenty will also pay $150,000 compensation to California VIP members and $50,000 in state investigative fees.
