Cardi B Faces Potential Lawsuit Over Marge Simpson Halloween Costume

Cardi B may be facing a lawsuit over her Halloween costume this year.
She was dressed as Marge Simpson in a gown inspired by designer Thierry Mugler which came from a photo back in 2013 called “Marge Simpson Style Icon” from artist aleXsandro Palombo.
aleXsandro is accusing Cardi of “appropriating his work without consent.”
In a statement, a lawyer for aleXsandro said, “Cardi B has illegitimately appropriated the work of aleXsandro Palombo for mere business purposes in defiance of the most elementary rules on copyright and Instagram policies, with the consequent serious risks, both of compensation and of discredit for her public image.”
A lawsuit has yet to be filed, but aleXsandro and his team have requested that Cardi “Correct” her initial Instagram post within seven days of receipt of his official notice.
