Earlier this month, Meek Mill announced he had parted ways with his management company, Roc Nation. In February, he also accused Atlantic Records of coming between him and Roddy Ricch. The Philly rapper announced he will release 10 mixtapes "independently" in September. He'll launch the campaign on August 18, the anniversary of his father's death, and stop releasing new music on New Music Fridays. Meek invited labels to invest in his projects on Instagram and said no major labels would be involved. “F__k it, ima take the risk … a million behind every project! All sponsors connected to me or my brand tap in immediately. I need y’all for this riskkkk ima take! #NOMAJORLABELVIBES,” he wrote. Do you think Meek Mill is making a smart move?
