- Kanye West and Kim Kardashian head to court on Wednesday as Kim will be attempting to declare herself legally single.
- Kanye’s lawyers have filed documents “arguing that all prenuptial agreements signed in California after 2002 are presumed to be invalid” however Kanye has NEVER claimed that their prenup is invalid.
- Under California law, a prenup is only considered invalid IF one of the parties challenges it, and neither party has, so it is not clear why his lawyers have filed the documents.
- If the judge favors that the prenup is invalid that would make any money made during the marriage open for a more even split, and it’s believed that Kim would benefit from that.
- Kim has said, “I believe that the court terminating our marital status will help Kanye to accept that our marital relationship is over and to move forward on a better path which will assist us in peacefully co-parenting our children.”
