Mayor Eric Adams Meet with Maino, Fivio Foreign Amid Drill Rapper Shootings

  • Newly-elected New York mayor Eric Adams held a late-night meeting with rappers who are familiar with the Drill rap scene. 
  • The city has seen a number of murders and growing violence and the mayor believe the Drill music is at the root of the violence. 
  • Also present for the meeting was rapper, Fivio Foreign. Maino spoke after the meeting saying, “There’s been a lot of talk about drill rap, drill music in New York City, connecting violence with the culture, and I just wanted to create a conversation with the mayor.”
