  • Derrick Rose, who social media has now dubbed 'Mr Deeds' after the Adam Sandler character Longfellow Deeds, popped the question to Alaina Anderson at Madison Square Garden.
  • In the movie, Mr. Deeds plans a proposal at MSG.
  • Derrick posted about the engagement on his Instagram page and wrote a poem. He wrote in part:
  • I didn't know how you would perceive me, but this entire time I was hoping that you would believe me. Believe the words that I will have your back and love you forever. When I first saw you I told Ryan we were gon be together.
  • The couple have two kids together.
