A little bit of controversy isn’t stopping Lil Nas X from topping the charts. The recent release of the video for “Montero (Call Me by Your Name)” was polarizing to say the least. Last week, Lil Nas stayed in the trending topics for two days as folks reacted to shocking scenes like giving the devil a lap dance. And then there were the “Satan Shoes,” which also earned a strong reaction and were the talk of social media for days. It all worked out for the 20-year-old. “Montero” debuted at number-one on the Billboard Hot 100, beating out Justin Bieber’s “Peaches” and Silk Sonic’s “Leave The Door Open.”
